GREENWICH INTERPRETATION CENTRE
Prince Edward Island National Park PEI, 2001
Prince Edward Island is one of Canadas most popular national parks, welcoming over half a million visitors annually. An important objective for the new Greenwich Visitor Centre was to make visitors aware of the parks fragile environment.
Apropos Planning planned and developed exhibits with a strong environmental message. An interactive dune-making machine and a cross-section through a dune with its wildlife inhabitants were two devices we used to heighten awareness.
Conceptual Floor Plan
Greenwich Multi-Purpose Centre
Apropos worked with the model maker, sourcing maps and air photos to produce a unique in-floor topographical model.
Land, Sea and People, Interacting over Time.
An important element of an interpretive plan is a concise theme statement. We use bubble diagrams to express the themes clearly and show their relative importance in an exhibit storyline.
