TWO-HUNDRED YEARS OF TRADITION: THE STORY OF CANADIAN WHISKY,
Waterloo, Ontario, 1993
The Seagram Museum was a highly recognized industrial and historical museum in Waterloo until its close in 2000.
In 1993, Seagram Museum hired Apropos Planning to develop an exhibit and write a book on Canadian whisky. The exhibit included a working distillation unit, a mock-up of a Temperance meeting and many artifacts from Seagram Museums extensive collection. The book continues to be the foremost popular publication on Canadian whisky.
The authentic pot still for this exhibit way was loaned by the Hudson's Bay Company in Winnipeg. It may have come to Canada with a Scottish fur trader.
Take the podium and give us your opinion: are you for or against the Temperance Movement?
At a whisky nosing station, visitors force air through samples of corn, rye and barley flavouring whiskies, then sniff the difference.
Client: The Seagram Museum
