ROYAL TYRRELL MUSEUM
Drumheller, Alberta, 2001

In collaboration with Design + Communication Inc., Apropos Planning developed the concept for a new introductory gallery at Alberta's Royal Tyrell Museum of Paleontology, scheduled to open in 2005.

Apropos facilitated meetings to develop an overall direction and wrote the preliminary concept document. We also developed an innovative system of markers to help visitors navigate their way through geological time while at the museum.

Apropos worked with Tyrrell staff to refine the idea for a central “Wow” element in the new Discoveries Gallery – a family of fleshed-out Albertosaurus dinosaurs.

Client: Royal Tyrrell Museum of Palaeontology (Province of Alberta)
Collaborators: Design + Communication Inc.
